Our Legal Journey
and Where We Stand Today
and Where We Stand Today
The UK Home Office, through its Drug and Firearms Licensing Unit, issued guidance to the Government of Jersey stating that our CBD products did not meet the criteria of an “Exempt Product” under UK law. This interpretation was later formally admitted to be incorrect and unlawful.
Acting on this guidance, the Government of Jersey required us to cease exporting to the UK—our primary market. Despite our products being developed to high standards and previously traded without issue, this decision effectively shut down our business overnight.
The consequences were immediate and severe:

With the legal process concluded, our focus has shifted to the future.
We are actively exploring how Jersey Hemp can be rebuilt—initially through more focused, commercially resilient opportunities, while retaining our long-term ambition to re-enter the CBD market.
The journey ahead will not be simple. However, the clarity now provided by the legal outcome allows us to move forward with confidence, knowing that the position we originally stood by has been validated.
