This creamy and smooth houmous is elevated to new heights with the addition of our premium hemp culinary oil.
Not only is our hemp oil packed with essential fatty acids, antioxidants, and vitamins, but it also adds a delicate nutty flavour that perfectly complements the other ingredients in this houmous recipe.
With just a few simple steps, you can whip up a bowl of this tasty dip that is perfect for snacking, entertaining, or as a healthy addition to your meals.
- ½ can of Chickpeas drained
- 30ml cold water
- 1 Garlic Glove
- 1 lemon, juiced then zested
- 1 ½ tbsp Tahini
- 1tbsp of Organic Hemp Culinary Oil
Thoroughly rinse the chickpeas in a colander under cold running water. Tip into the large bowl of a food processor along with 60ml of water and blitz until almost smooth. Add the garlic, lemon and tahini, and blitz again. If the consistency is too thick, gradually pour in up to 30ml more water. Blitz again for about 5 mins, or until the houmous is smooth and silky.
Season with a good pinch of sea salt and transfer to a bowl. Swirl the top of the houmous with the back of a dessert spoon and drizzle over a little olive oil. Serve with crunchy crudités and toasted pitta bread, if you like.
