CBD is recognised as having a sedative effect. It is possible CBD use, particularly at higher concentrations, may cause drowsiness. CBD has also been known to increase dryness of the mouth. Changes in appetite may also occur.

CBD Oil can be ingested in many ways, the simplest being sublingually (under the tongue) allowing the CBD to absorb through the skin of the mouth for 1-2 minutes before swallowing. Alternatively, CBD oil can be added to foods including porridge, smoothies, or baked goods, or applied topically (direct to the skin).

Every individual is different, and the exact amount of CBD required will vary according to height, weight and preference.

We recommend starting with a low amount and increasing as required. For further information on calculating daily amounts please use our CBD Usage Guide.

Hemp seed oil is a culinary oil cold-pressed from the seeds of the hemp plant. CBD oil is a very different product and is used as a nutritional supplement. Jersey Hemp CBD Oil is made from broad spectrum CBD extracts and dissolved into hemp seed oil to a desired concentration.

CBD may be extracted from the plant using solvents or hydrocarbons. Recently, methods using supercritical CO2, derived from the coffee industry to extract caffeine for de-caffeinated coffee, are being used to extract and isolate CBD. In the UK and Jersey laws prohibit the presence of THC in any product. Therefore, our CBD is isolated to 99% purity and our whole-plant extract is refined to remove all traces of THC before mixing into end products.

Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of 100 known cannabinoids found in all plants of the genus Cannabis and can constitute up to 40% of the plant’s extract. CBD is non-psychotropic, it will not get you high, and has been shown to have great benefits for general well-being.
